A: What was Theo’s fastest recorded speed, and when did it occur?
Theo’s fastest speed was 20 miles per hour and occurred at 90 minutes.
B: What was Theo’s slowest recorded speed, and when did it occur?
Theo’s slowest speed was 15 miles per hour and occurred at 10, 30, 50, and 70 minutes.
C: Describe the changes in Theo’s speed during the race.
Theo’s speed changes in a zig-zag pattern with a long tail at the end.
Problem 2.5 Follow Up
1: Would it be possible for the path below to represent Theo’s progress between 10-minute marks? Why or why not?
Yes it does because Theo’s race data shows that it is ascending like that.
2: During which 10-minute period(s) of the race did Theo’s speed change the most?
Theo’s speed changed the most during 70 to 90 minutes period.
